so calls today for ACE East saying they will surplus 11% but no other information, a survey would be sent out for volunteers and in a week it will close then wait until mid February to see if we have a job!!

The script he was reading wasn’t even original it was from the Microsoft call they had with the employees they where cutting! Pathetic!!
We were told 8% on our ACE call in TX
So yes, 11% announced on overloaded calls with him badly reading from a script, and the IIL email was supposed to be sent by the end of the day and wasn’t? Incompetent!
And a note to these jackasses.. dragging out the process for months is not helping productivity, in case you are too obtuse to realize this.
I doubt many volunteers. They most likely retired end of last year.

the sad part of his announcement was it was not cleared or he is asking a god damn favor about volunteer or to be surplused.
as far as i know, the way he lay out his announcement was. there is not difference between volunteer or surplus.

At least they are giving options for some to volunteer. Imho Network has done this the best way they could given what they’ve been given. Retirements 1st, voluntary 2nd, see where they land and then make cuts they are mandated. Probably the nicest way to do it. And still no offers. Those days are done and never to return.
