Please share your experience claiming unemployment benefits in the current state. I had worked for Wells Fargo for more than 5 years as a full time employee in lead level role. Looks like weekly benefit would be $300+ for 12 weeks with max of 4000 k +. And there is a waiting period involved for first claim?

@a6 Can't believe you missed AZ with a max rate of 241$ and OR had a max of close to 900$
950 in my state, and I'll be applying in 2 weeks. I've been applying for jobs but have not gotten any interviews. Got plenty of rejections however.
In NC it is $350/wk for 12 weeks, which is a total of $4200. I just completed my 12 weeks. I was laid off about a year and a half ago, and got the 60-day non-working notice, and 10 months of severance. In NC, you cannot get unemployment until the income stops, so I had to wait a good while. I was a few months away from retirement when I was laid off, so it was a perfect situation for me. I had no intention of working again, but $4200 is $4200, so I applied. Once you submit a claim in NC you do have to wait a week before they will process your check. There were some hoops to jump through, and I had to apply for 3 jobs per week, which took me about an hour. I am happy to report that I applied for 36 jobs and got zero interviews. I know most people will not have the lucky timing I did, so I wish you all success in your job hunt.
VA 380 for 26 weeks

Sorry all states are broke because of illegal invaders. No soup for you.
Unemployment rates vary greatly by State. 300 bucks a week is utter and complete sh-t.
Some states have a fairly decent max rate:
NJ: $875
MA: $820
MN: $950
NY: $870
Some are sh-t:
CA:$450
AL, FL, LA: $275
MS: $235
