Sounds like there is a major reorganization in the marketing team and the corporate and business levels and multiple members of the marketing teams globally have been given a two weeks notice.

They should be taking away the dead weight in corporate instead of adding more people to a team who’s only skills are taking the work others have done, and putting it into a PowerPoint and calling it a GDM

@ae this isn’t what has happened this time. BA team has been seriously impacted but those are roles in the US and Europe - they aren’t being replaced in South East Asia they are just not replacing them. Most of the roles that have are opening in corporate are in the US - but there will be no accountability from any of them

With Aerospace gone they want to give confidence to the market that standalone Honeywell is strong. Since we can’t grow organically as expected because they’ve decimated just about every other area, one of the few left orgs to cut fat was Marketing.

In my neck of the woods marketing had been getting smaller after years of not back filling roles. This was just the death blow.

What I would love to see is executives being lynched after failed strategic pursuits which we have way too many of, with hundreds of millions if not billions going down the drain in such pursuits. I respect myself less and less everyday for sticking around but there aren’t many options at the moment

@ac you're absolutely correct. There is an unofficial push to take one role in the US or the Americas and replace it with two people in primarily India to increase the number of resources but significantly drive down the cost.

That is correct. US and EU marketing teams wiped clean. Another reorg because the previous two didn’t produce the outsized returns they expected. If past reorgs are any indication, new roles will open up in South Asia.
