I keep swinging between “please, just lay me off and end this misery” and “please don’t lay me off, this job market is brutal.” It’s like an hourly cycle at this point. They’re really wrecking people’s sanity by dragging this out when there’s absolutely no reason to.

@y3 when they offered 3 wks for ever year in 2019, I jumped. So happy!! Was worried being almost 58 y.o. Well, found a great job (still there) that is so peaceful (no customer service).
I said, I'm gambling on ME! If I don't, who will?
Gave up 10 wks pd time off for 3 wks per year. Guess what? I never take time off bc my job is fun! With vzw, I took 100% annual leave plus the 16 hrs unpaid UIA with no job impact every year! To stay SANE!
I still laugh thinking about the HR troll, "it seems to be a pattern. [The 16 hrs]." Oh girly, I said, It's a deliberate pattern!
Folks..don't let them torture you! Find a better deal.
I have never regretted taking the separation package. It's worth less every time offered. Understand the sunk cost fallacy and find another cheese station.
Just lay me off for goodness sake.
Same, just let me know so I can start moving forward. This is like dating some crazy lady with cats.
@a4 That being said, probably not the best time to buy a boat. Def don’t by the sinking ship SS Verizon
Sir, this is a Wendys
The morale has dropped greatly.
Today you’re employed. Enjoy your family, friends and days. Whatever is coming is coming and the worry won’t change a single thing about it. Thankfully verizon offers severances so leaving with something is better than with nothing
Worry changes nothing about tomorrow and ruins today .
I hear you
