Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

TDC is up 35.28% over the past 5 days

I'm finally back in the green on TDC overall now up $44,000 really have a great amount of being a shareholder and being a part of the mission here. For the doubters TDC has massive potential as realized by the cloud arr. It's an excellent stock to buy and hold

@2dx I feel you. I can’t wait to retire. I’ll put in my time until then but the company doesn’t care about me so i sure don’t care about it.

@2bq I know. I love it. Just need 10 more months to retire. And I can watch the rest of you swirl.

Motion returned to the Right Honorable 2ba WarmBody, requesting amendment. No motion can pass with prejudice, per Dayton to Diego move rule book 2018, onlyf*ns privacy clause 69 u ii, epstn vs frnkstn among others. Let the records show member 2ba FragileFeelings out of turn denial is duly noted by the real boss of us. Rt. Hon.? Matter adjourned until after amendments. Bring the chariot. Off to Florida. Happy Thanksgiving!

@2bk I think you're a disappointment bro. Why are you cheering on the stock price to fall? The stock rising means more job security for people like you who don't do much work

@2ba Motion denied. You’re not the boss of us.

@28g Name the new logos gained quarterly, buddy. List them and the revenue generated. Oops. Just superengineer trolling again.

@288 what have you done today buddy? VantageCloud is leading in the field and winning new logos quarterly. Everyone is cheering on layoffs but meanwhile time after time there's none. Steve McMillan gave this company a spine

The TDC execs don't know how to innovate and win new customers with valuable, new features so they decided to go with stock buybacks so they can cash out. Meanwhile, the annual layoffs continue.

StockStory today:

Why Are We Out on TDC?

Customers had second thoughts about committing to its platform over the last year as its billings averaged 4.4% declines

Gross margin of 59.4% reflects its high servicing costs

Operating margin failed to increase over the last year, indicating the company couldn’t optimize its expenses

@OP Dear Ms. Cheerleader, it's a result of the comany stock buyback after earnings to make it appear better than reality. It was public knowedge they were increasing buyback.

Dead cat bounce in full effect. Having plunged so much over the past 2 years, the brief recovery is only made possible by the continued bets on the entire AI industry.

Don't worry, it will drop again soon. It always has

Unless Teradata Execs can pull a rabbit out of somewhere & show this revenue surprise is repeatable, expect the price to go down in Jan 2026, when TDC announces full year results for 2025.

@gs, how foolish of me to disregard Teradata's supreme role as the definer of immigration economics and national development.

@h2 hot take but the Indians overseas put longer hours in than any american at TD. They have greater drive and will to get the job done that I haven't seen from any American at the company.

@gs Give me a break. Teradata existed and was profitable before cheap labor from India with fake certs and degrees existed. There's more than enough American citizens available to address all technical roles.

Sounds anti-H1b, so gentle reminder- America wins when it attracts the smartest people on the planet, rather than building walls to keep them out H-1Bs aren’t a loophole, but rather a strategy to ensure innovation happens here. Yes, they have been exploited, but don't cut your nose off to spite your face!

The H1b gravytrain is about to be upended and I hope the current administration puts tariffs on businesses that offshore. Watching Teradata crawl back begging to the people that made it who it is would be entertaining.

General reminder, temp workers don't vote and basing a campaign on getting rid of H1bs works for both left and right parties.

You better sell now while you’re ahead because when the street finds out the Cloud Revenue numbers are not real, it will crash like it did before. I sold my stock when the price was around $50, but it dropped drastically when the market found out about the embellishments. Embellishing only buys time temporarily. I hope for your sake I’m wrong, but as for me, I can no longer live with the dishonesty.

And yet it's still down 11% for the year, while SNOW is up 64%.

Other than that, how did you like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?

And by the time we release the next quarter and annual results, it would be down. Have you seen the volume of SELL by insiders ?
