Earlier this week, my post was removed from here.
Hours later, HR quietly pinned a “Team Player” award on my profile, one I never applied for and don’t want. What I actually asked for was a clear growth path. Instead, my manager (who still calls one-on-one meetings “bro chats”) has stonewalled every promotion conversation. This week he announced a new Director role… filled by an external hire in India. I’m exhausted. If real opportunity now requires a passport and a 12-hour time-zone jump, just say it. I’ll book the flight.

@bp Imagine my surprise when someone, likely a female, tr--s out that old chestnut about feeling safe walking alone. It's a lie.
Same here. My manager tell's a lot of yankee-do----o sh-t but never promoted me, instead hired external candidates and ask me to train them.
@OP WTF is a "team player award?"
@bb , dude, I see way more more entitled, aggressive, incompetent men than women. You need to see things from other people's perspective. Imagine my surprise when my wife told me she does not feel safe walking by herself. I never have to worry about that as a guy.
Nothing worse than entitled women in the workplace. Unfortunately, I have to work with some women colleagues and they're awful (incompetent, entitled, aggressive, etc.).
Sam, you got your previous manager fired and you just got a CMO award. Calm down.
That su-ks so bad.
I am so sick of indian counterparts asking me to basically do their job for them.
10% are awesome.
The rest aren't worth all the money they are spending getting rid of the real european and american workforces.
