I was just told today I'm being let go effective immediately. I've been working in Rochester (SAS) for 4-years. No performance issues, but classified as a remote employee. Is this a one-off, or are there others being targeted?

It wasn't just remote. But I wouldn't be surprised if that got you on a list. Last time I had to do a layoff I was given a list of people to choose from. Then I had to choose a minimum number. There was no option for me to not choose. Really cr-ppy day for me as a manager.
So sad to hear this happening right before holidays coming. Meanwhile, more levels of management are being created to handle the additional Excel spreadsheet tracking needed. If you want to survive at L3Harris, become a master at Excel and be sure to use lots of colors in the spreadsheets you create and before you know it, you too can be reading off the script as you give the layoff message instead of being at the receiving end.

@an same story here, 7 years, called in with manager. They read off a script and showed me the door. Didn't even have a chance to say goodbye to the rest of the team
I was let go today too (SAS Rochester) - 10 years of service, no performance issues…. All I got was a 5 min phone call and my director read from a script.

@OP RIF is happening today. Going to be a bunch of people they don't terminate based on performance. They just cut
