Why fire individual contributors- layers of managers is what needs trimming in finance, it’s seems a a lot of one sr manager has 4 managers reporting to them who have 1-2 employees each. A lot of “management” of the few doing work -

I hope they don't layoff the guy that counts the mercury discharged into the great lakes, or the number of strippers they can afford for the next holiday party...
There will be additional layoffs after the MEG deal closes. Those synergy savings have to come from somewhere.
@OP Kam said these layoffs are ongoing, wherever they need to be competitive they will reduce head count. It’s never going to be done. This was at the last townhall.
