Your bonus is based on last year bonus. If M expect 90-105%. If IM expect -80%. If ex expect 110% and if you are Godlike expect 125-135. All these numbers worse off for employee since the rejigger on bonus a few years back by Bei.

@bf he can within reason s0lit as he sees fit. If any of them get less than a "meets" he can elect to give them zero bonus by policy

DF probably knows many of his managers would be gone before FEB . So he is prepared for missing in action. Big layoffs everywhere. First see you survive amd then worry about bonus

@ae thanks.

So for example, if $200k is allocated to a manager of 4.
Does he have total discretion like below scenarios…

He decides to split it in 4 for each of his direct reports 50K each.
He decides to give two of his employee 75K and the other two 25K each.
he decides to give each employee 40K each, and return 40K to the bank.

Is there a check and balance or is it strictly about favoritism.

Why is this even on a layoff blog?

@ab yes the manager has say. Each manager gets a pool of funds and decides how to distribute it. Its not OC+2 deciding on an OC+4 bonus

Let us assume all managers have submitted the perf ratings. ( IIRC - it should be by Oct 31).

Does the manger have a say to the actual numbers or is the number coming from OC+2 or someone else

Submission and Confirmation dates are wildly disparate. Submission is typically by EOY freeze BUT adjustments and calibrations can and do continue well after.

I have no reason not to trust my manager, but for the past two years they have said they didn’t get a hard lock on the numbers until a week before bonus hits. Up to that point it was subject to change.

Calibrations are currently occurring.

They’re supposedly having issues with comp entry. But bonus supposed to be like first week in February and merit in March if I remember correctly.
