I wasn’t laid off but I’m over Target. My 7 year old could run the company better than their current leadership team at the moment. Everything feels messy and too much uncertainty. It doesn’t align with my values and I almost wish I was laid off. How do I continue to work for a company that operates as such?

CONGRATULATIONS — you’ve unlocked survivor’s guilt in corporate he-l mode. You don’t work for Target anymore, you endure it. Just keep smiling through the chaos and file it under ‘Character Building Experience.’ 🎯💀 Corporate resilience? Please. It’s just trauma with a 401(k). 💅🏻
I am sorry it does no align with your values, but it is a for profit business. All persons employed are employed to increase and produce a profit, it not, it is a welfare operation.
I think the bottom line if you work for a company, not the other way around.
Funny how no stores closed and there is no loss of any functions in the company with 8% gone.
The concept of efficient business has been lost to personal selfishness.
Go in and work the 2-3 days in the office, work hard, start on time and all will be good.
It is called work for a reason.
