Any more coded racist questions, trolling about an employee that no longer works here? What’s your next hot take? H1B visas are over taking the company? Lmaoooo

The risk leaders are soooooo bad. Plus they’ve laid off any semi decent talent. All that’s left in risk are drones, contact center employees, perpetual fmla flyers, and yes men.

@jc Elizabeth. Addison. Charlie Health. Some of the worst and saddest leaders.

@j6 it’s not race. It’s USAA. Wayne? Michael Moran? Stuart? The list goes long with bad leaders agnostic of race.

He’s been gone for months. That org had a large layoff and then reposted a bunch of roles at lower levels. If you don’t have to take it, I wouldn’t. Their leadership turnover is the worst I’ve ever seen in my career.

Risk management is the worst place to be hired. It’s embarrassing when you go and try to get a job outside of here. Yes the people are nice. But leaders to employees- it’s incompetence from top to bottom in the risk and compliance roles. They have already laid off all of the good risk employees- the ones that are you know-qualified. The rest are the most lack luster under qualified gaggle that literally and actually do nothing all day other than wait to be laid off.

Stay away from any technology risk team at USAA. ALL of them are trash. The people are good, but leadership is clueless. All that experience they have on the resume and they aren’t even skilled enough to work at Best Buy.

Avoid at all costs. New VP that Mani hired before he was terminated is toxic.

I would avoid at all cost. For example, there are sectors in USAA Bank who have hired Director level employees, just for hiring managers to realize they need to lay them off a few months later. What happens is they put them on something called a "Performance Improvement Plan" to find a way to rid themselves of their new hire and not pay them severance. I keep seeing good employees get fired with no severance.

Mani is no longer with USAA. His team was split earlier this year. A new leader is in running technology risk. I would be careful what you are walking into with that new group. Looks like a mess.

I can’t speak for all of risk management, but I can say that Mani’s role has changed multiple times and it’s unclear why. My guess is he’s not a great leader and working for him may be risky (pun intended).

@a3 Risk Management was hit hard in 2024 with layoffs, but they seem to be rehiring now. As for security, all I can say is that USAA has been laying off people for a few years now at least twice a year. It's a roll of the dice.
