Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

WTG MW & Venezuela

See WSJ Story from Oct 31 "How Chevron Got Caught in the Clash Between the U.S. and Venezuela"

Chevron has 3000 employees in harms way, propping up a dictatorship.

The response from Chevron PR is laughable.

“Our top priority is the safety of our personnel, the communities in which we operate, the environment and the integrity of our joint-venture assets,” a Chevron spokesman said. He referred any questions about the security situation in Venezuela to the U.S. government.

While the American military blows up boats it claims are transporting dr-gs from Venezuela, tankers shipping shadow Venezuelan oil in violation of a US embargo continue to navigate the very same waters undisturbed.

Replying will probably get the post taken down by the mods.
Try googling the name of the article. If you don't have a WSJ subscription, add the words "Global Witness"

It will be interesting to see their response, when India and Pakistan get to warring again and where they house all their ENGINES. Probably relocate them to the USA.
