“JOBS FOR LIFE “

Jeremy “Jobs for Life” tells NS student conductors “ They have a “Career not a JOB “… I wonder if he told that to the current UP employees being furloughed ? How many folks with years of experience lost their jobs to PSR ? NS employees have no idea what Jimmy.V is capable of doing to a railroad !

The UP will make them so miserable they will quit , get themselves fired for rule infractions or possibly be forced to move for work / take a permanent furlough. Jim will say we didn’t fire them ?

He hopes they’re paying union dues for life. Someone has to pay his $500k salary and all his assistants $250k salaries.

Anyone that believes that their job is secured after the so called agreement is nuts. When Vena said that no jobs would be lost due to the merger, I knew right away he was lying. If the merger goes through, there's a little bit of a technical loophole that I see Vena exploiting. The two class one's will then be one single entity, and possible name change taking place. After the name change, the company will be different. The headcount at both railroads WILL be reduced by Vena to satisfy his ego in front of the shareholders. Either way, the NS people are going to soon realize what Vena is all about. No job is secure at any railroad, regardless of any agreement or promise the executives made. Unless that agreement was written, signed, and made into a law, then that agreement is worthless. The fact that the agreement was proposed by the executives is exactly why I don't trust it. The executives lie way too much to be trusted on anything.
