Round 2 Will be coming

I understand this is just the first Round and there is more in process in the next 3-9 months. Continue with the back-up plan

An algorythm has been built to maximize the value of this layoff. This is just the beginning phase to restructure and take cost out .

The problem with these message boards...unverified conjecture, wild assumptions and hysteria making. Historically, when sales are off, companies cut staff and middle management is usually trimmed. Why? Because they are the higher compensated, task delegators not the lower compensated, worker bees. The ugly but true side of capitalism. My sympathy and best wishes to all those who need to find another job.

@a4 Extremely likely though, we've been trending down for like 3 years straight after the COVID money dried up. Chances are, we're heading to pre-COVID valuation which means plenty more cuts.

OP is probably trolling... Yes, more positions will likely be cut, and other new roles will be added. Companies generally overcorrect and fill in gaps as needed. If the new structure doesn't work, leadership will continue to pivot. That said, I don't expect another % layoff unless Target continues fall flat vs. Wall Street expectations.
