Whether you like it or not, business professionalism dictates that you need to be somewhat civil when mentioning your old company. I know it su-ks and the easiest thing to do would be to go off on target, but you don’t want to alienate people that could help you.
What is your problem? They got laid off and just want to reach out to their network for help. Nothing about that is disgusting.
