Thread regarding Neiman Marcus Group layoffs

Bankruptcy chatter after Christmas ⛄

The absurd gifts and celebrities for the holiday gala can't overtake the news...we still aren't paying vendors even after a 600 million bucks cash infusion..With sales down so drastic it may be time to throw in the towel..

Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom are the new Saks/NM for the future.

Unless Bezos buys out Richard Baker, owner of Saks Global you can expect layoffs and store closings.

Luxury shopping is dead. Period.
The few that still pay top dollar for a designer name can’t sustain the business
You know you’re in deep trouble when the wealthiest of clients start to question the overly inflated price points
I have a multi millionaire client who is a prominent lawyer and was not wanting to pay the $7,000 price point for a Zegna leather coat, it’s doubled in the last five years, yep…we are in trouble .
