Corporate Greed

Can we all just agree that the upcoming layoffs are noting more than CP being greedy?

Disagree. Oil prices are abysmal right now and will be throughout Trump’s Presidency. You’re getting laid off because of Trump’s energy policy.

Based on the fact that every other company in our industry is doing the exact same thing, I would suggest that you accept that CP is not doing anything unique.
Is it greed, or is it survival by keeping up with everyone else?

I can assure you that CP would be ripped apart by the investment community if it was doing nothing.

Disagree. Dead weight drags the whole ship down. That said, I do agree with the other guy that we are either preparing to get acquired or to add to the company. I know we want Diamondback but we can't compete with Exxon if it turns into a bidding war.

They’re preparing to sell the company so they can get their big cash out and not have to navigate the challenges that the industry will face in the next five to ten years.
