They’re getting rid of hundreds upon hundreds of employees and all the work they used to do is supposed to be “absorbed” by those of us at HQ? It’s not like we’re already overworked, right? There’s always room for more. After all, we’re apparently not human beings, we’re robots.

@bf9 market is rough. Go to NYC.
@awq hiring? Looking for roles in Philly market and suburbs…
I'm so glad I'm out of that cesspool of a company. It was great when we were growing. Watching them struggle to keep the stock price up so their options aren't worthless is priceless...
@1sh you've never read one. be honest.
@g0 why do you think the Ks and Qs tell the whole truth? You are clearly very naive.
@12b it will work from Chennai
Hey! I’m one of those that are being absorbed and was wondering the same thing lol. We already get pushed to do so much I can’t imagine someone else, who undoubtedly already does as much as I do, being successful at absorbing the workload of hundreds of of people. I’ve yet to see my position reposted for HQ or regional so idk how they think it’ll work for them.
The fact is that Comcast has started treating its U.S. employees the same way it treats its customers!
@c2 im not niave but i can read the 10-Ks and the 10-Qs as a employee and stockholder. stop being political . are you even a employee? get outta here.
In addition, Comcast announced that its Board of Directors also approved a new share repurchase program authorization, effective as of January 31, 2025, of $15 billion, which does not have an expiration date.
@e6 you're mistaken if you think they care. It will all be left unattended.
Well even those that have said they’ll come to HQ are being offered no/little relocation assistance so not only are people being forced to Philly, we are saying we won’t help much if at all. So yeah - good luck picking up the extra work
@c6 both things can be true at the same time.
@a6 you are on dr-gs, never heard anything so stupid. Get over the Trump sh-t…. Comcast doesn’t take care of their customers, and they mismanaged their funds, and they had to many hands in the cookie jar. And too many people making bad decisions. On top of that, the competition is getting better.
@ah you don’t think they laid people off to fund the payments to Trump? That would be very naive of you.
@a6 get a grip . losing 1 million broadband subs a year to fixed wireless and fiber is not trumps fault or bidens, or anyone except management for not pivoting to FTTH or differentiating or competitively pricing the product.
Comcast is contributing millions to the Trump Dump Ballroom - Every day is another beautiful secret in the glass tower....
Nah they'll fire you too and ship the work to Chennai.
