Penny always has been a very driven person. I believe she drives a broom.

It does not surprise me she would do something like this. I knew Penny before she was named managing partner. She was always plotting her ascent up the ladder. She did not care who she stepped on to get there. She always had a smile on her face, but her inside is ugly. Her best friend, KJ, is the exact same person by the way. Do not trust either.

I think the ELT is pulling shenanigans again. Did McKinsey advise Penny and the rest of the ELT to do this?

@p1 The signatures on the no confidence petitions have been delivered to the ELT. They are being reviewed and appropriate actions will be taken. Thank you to all who showed up yesterday to the rally. We made a difference. We are One Edward Jones.

Great job to everyone who showed up yesterday. What happens now? Where do our signatures end up?

This was Penny's team trying to get people to take the bait. This was just another half baked attempt by Penny's team that didn't work. These are adding up fast for Penny and team.

@k0 you’re not even believable at this point. Go away.

@k0 at least this point, given there were witnesses looking for people and saw none, I strongly believe this was Penny’s team trying to see who’s next on the chopping block and would be d-mb enough to show up to this event while still being employed or waiting a few mor short weeks until severance pays out.

@jr , was in the building looking out the window. Didn't see anything either. Just a bigger presence with security waiting for a "protest."

"Nothing to see here folks, nothing to see."

@k0 It’s her birthday tomorrow. 220 signatures should be gift wrapped and left with Birdie for her.

@jr We were there. Received around 220 signatures on the no confidence petitions. Even received a few GP signatures. The tide is turning.

I think the rally should focus less on how bad of a leader Penny is but rather how bad of a person Penny is.

@fk You are right. There used to be a culture of helping each other and learning from each other. Penny has trashed that culture in three short years. Now everyone is following her lead and stabbing each other in the back. I would follow your advice and do not trust anyone. Penny is quite the leader. She is just leading us to do all the wrong things.

@eh Yes, other supporters can partake. This is about service to the clients as well. We cannot serve our current clients who have helped build this firm by eliminating positions and sending positions to India. Your supporters just cannot sign the vote of no confidence petition unless the rally goer is an associate and/or an ISP or VSP'd associate or a partner.

@OP, as sad as I am to see what the company has become. I won't partake in the rally.

I don't see good things coming out of this.

I want to attend but I am worried my husband could lose his job at Jones if I attend. He has already been demoted and we don’t need any other blows against our family now.

@dr Yeah, I do not think Penny will be joining you outside Thursday afternoon. She knows people absolutely hate her at home office. She will stay hidden away on the tenth floor if she is even on the property.

It would be wonderful if Penny would come out tomorrow and have a civil unscripted two way conversation with us. Since the layoffs started she has only been seen via Zoom speaking in front of branch associates. She has no respect for home office associates. It would go a long way to win our trust back if she were to speak with us face to face tomorrow at 12555 Manchester Road, St. Louis, MO.

@d7 You are not an outsider. You are an insider trying to make the case for your queen. Look at the projected net income for 2025. Edward Jones is barely getting by? There may be some lag behind competitors, but the bottom line does not lie. Even if we assume Penny's Enterprise Reimagined is an effort to save the firm it is overkill. Penny has wrecked people's lives. Not only associates, but the people associates are providing for. When you take away a person's livelihood at least haphazardly, or at worst with malicious intent, you deserve to have huge backlash. It is people like you that defend Penny literally wrecking people's lives, but crucify the people who have lost their livelihoods for doing nothing other than exercising their first amendment rights. Not one of the people who have been displaced have taken one penny from Penny's bloated $29 million plus per year compensation package. But, Penny has taken away everything from people making $40,000 per year. Her adult children will be eating tonight. Cannot say the same thing for other displaced people's kids. Penny is either clueless or evil or both.

I just don’t understand the hate. As an “outsider” I see a company that is badly lagging its competitors. Just check Schwab’s results vs EDJ’s. You have been bleeding advisors for years because your product lineup and tech are the worst I’ve seen in 25 years. In fact, if your tech was just old but otherwise solid, EDJ would probably be getting by. But tech leaders here have let it rot by being inattentive and afraid to make changes. I don’t blame them entirely. This doesn’t seem to have been a culture that rewards even the most mild risk taking. It has finally reached a state where drastic change is needed to save the firm. Staying the course was not an option Penny had when she inherited this situation. Frankly, while I may not agree with everything happening (who am I to judge? I’ve never had to turn around a multibillion dollar company) but I give Penny credit for taking on the task and having the guts to take the heat.
