Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Why PIP people?

#1 - No severance if you’re fired for cause
# 2 - save money on payroll
# 3 - give them COBRA, but they will pay unsubsidized premiums for health insurance

I don’t know of a single person that’s ever gotten fired for cause.. I do know plenty of executives who have gotten complaints lodged against them and they’ve never had any action taken against them.

You can PIP to coach and PIP to fire. It used to be a tool for the former, now it’s just to fire with cause.

BS, I was a team lead and knew of two people who were put on PIPs over four years ago. They're still here today.

You have to make an effort to get PIP'd and fired at Wells.

if you are being pip-ed, your manager does not like you period. once pip-ed you are gone and there is less headache for the manager. bullet's 1, 2 and 3 that the @op posted are just a bonus value
