There is a WSJ article today about companies deducting employees' contributions but not depositing the money into their 401(k) accounts. Has anyone here experienced this? I haven't checked my 401(k) closely, assuming everything was okay.

@fx It is not necessary a reputation thing. Mistakes happen, and if they are not caught, they will keep on going. I was on a rotational assignment, but received a "good and service" payment, which would be for someone on a residential assignment. When I asked payroll, they said it was part of the benefits. Sheet happens.
United healthcare violated the law in regards to improperly investing and managing pension plans, My wife just a settlement check for $800. It does happen.
Yeah, Chevron is gonna risk their reputation lol

that was a WSJ article on that happening to ONE person -- seems like someone was stealing her money through the back door. All YOU are doing here is trying to cause panic for a non existent reason......
@OP+1k81p3mch I can't tell if you're confused, wildly uninformed, or just trolling out of sheer boredom. But hey, congrats! You've officially reached peak nonsense.
Never had that problem. You can see the activity history in your Fidelity account.
