Heard rumours from lvmcc fos that Victoria would be taking over/overlooking both of the canadian locations Kitchener and Cambridge. Any truth in this?
@3p8 well that has been the case since the covid pandemic. Departure and checking out (quiet quitting) of the side of capable/competent folks is obvious.
@3h8 RIFs are unlikely. Hiring freeze in combination with attrition is more likely scenario. The A players will likely leave on their own or completely check out and shift focus!

Stayed in cam for 2 years.
My observation as an outsider is that the cam order execution team has too many layers, too many managers and leads without vision, courage, or authority to challenge the status quo. They defend the status quo because the status quo is very comfortable.
They deliver limited to the org and provide zero impact to revenue, efficiency, customer satisfaction, clarity, team building, accountability, decision making, organizational learning etc.
Their absence/presence makes not difference to operational effectiveness.
@2bq the upcoming retirements may ofset the need for headcount reduction.
Unless something chages suddenly I see a permanent hiring freeze for Canadian locations.

The Cam only revenues are close to insignificant relative to the company overall revenue.

@1hw well perhaps the middle level managera are the byproduct of the system that lost clarity, vision, na courage. But clean up/reshuffle/restructure is necessary
@1hw the Cambridhe location needs to be organized more leanly, with fewer layers and more ownership, to move as quickly as possible for our customers
A flatter org structure with more accountability is definitely a must
@1a3 Victoria strikes me as a very pleasant person. She is a good person who is not capable of leading teams or creating any value especially for smaller startup facilities. She has no business acumen. She would be good for customer care roles.
She will put final finishing touches to The Canadian facilities unless they fire her before that
After 2 years of working as project manager i can say that Eng team leads must be replaced with an actual manager leader. Project Managers “leadership” team should be reformed as it currently provides zero value to the business, to the team, zero influence…reporting up numbers that could be obtained easily from PowerBi.
Blake has said this to Victoria. “Is Cambridge the right place to drive our success???” That means he will fire everyone. That is his dou--e move over the last 10 years. Started with Marty.
@w6 thats correct. To drive execution efficiency, accountability and communication flow, the teams such as Comm. engineering, application engineering and project managers should role up under the LV umbrella. Flatter org is a must for survival
Cambridge is history. Vicky will on shore everything to the US because she is a dolt. RUN! But I assume if you are still there, you are not employable elsewhere. To bad.

Natural attrition combined with hiring freeze is taking place rather than large scale layoffs in Cambridge.
One thing is obvious… they must purge at least one layer of management.

they generally dont layoff nonmanufacturing corp employees before automation fair because they need them to work and support automation fair.. then once december comes its layoffs
The Cambridge location must shed some of its “manager and teameads” ranks.
Too many passive managers without any leadership or vision or authority or decision making capabilitiy. Often too afraid to approach or confront US decsion makers. Aside from approving vacs and attending useless virtual meetings, they do not deliver any revenue, efficiency, or team buildings.

Two managers are no longer with the company. More layoffs are expected before the end of December.
The teams at the canadian mv plant are already very lean, highly demoralized, disoriented likely due to the lack of future vision for the business and succession planing. A few key folks will retire in the next few months…valuable employees that left will not be replaced
