Tell that to all those untimely ripped from their jobs... They sure feel replaced, rejected and condemned!

"I have never heard of anyone at O being forced to train their replacement, human or bot, to get severance."
And never recommend Oracle at any of their new employers!
@fq The George Best Plan
I don't know about the rest of you, but I plan on taking half of my severance and spending it specifically on wine, women and song.
The rest I am just going to waste.
@f5 I too was one of the lucky ones who had a great manager. I got raises and lots of ESUs and a promotion too. He did look upset on the call, though I knew what was coming as soon as I got the one on one invite. Fortunately I was ready to deal with being dismissed.
@ej My manager sounded more upset about it than I was when we had our meeting. My role was eliminated, what else is there to say? I know I'd go back and work there again in a heartbeat.
@bj While what you say is true, the problem is that other employers are also firing people and hiring is frozen
@aj Wonder what you will say when you get RIFed - and you will, if not now, soon enough.
But but I performed??!!!!
My direct manager was a type of person that he was expecting from my team literally everything - as a leader his knowledge was really poor. When we had questions regarding the work that needed the decision or knowledge a person on a higher position, his response was often: "I don't know". But at the same time he was angry if he asked and we didn't know and expect from us doing research. Personally he never did researches, looks like really didn't care... It was so frustrating to be managed chaotically by the person who didn't give a rat's a-s. I suppose his role will be easy do replaced by AI.
@aj The layoffs in India probably means they are not important anymore. AI rules the world! ✈🛩🛫🛬👮👮♂👮♀🚓🚔🚨🤣🤣🤣🤣

regarding to the current layoffs and treatment of people it is humiliating to work there…nobody wants to be treated as a trash.
They cut the jobs to save money and invest on Ai. And Oracle staff will be replaced. Oracle staff should look for jobs outside of Oracle.
@aj This had very little to do with performance.
It has everything to do with reducing headcount to save a few $$.
To me, the layoffs in India are made to send a message to rest of the staff they need to perform on the job or…
Not every job can be replaced by AI just yet
