Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

I hope this is over as soon as possible

I have a feeling that announcing layoffs then making us wait and not saying when is intentional. They're creating a stressful atmosphere where everybody is constantly worried and some might even decide to quit if it goes on for too long. Or maybe I'm just being paranoid, but it feels intentional.

Look at what higher ups in your building are doing. So far, we’ve had a director step away, 2 senior managers leave for greener pastures, 2 HR, and are our operations manager counts are on life support. And we were a top performing DC 2 years ago, but with so many long time leaders leaving, it’s obvious something is up.

I'm confused by this post. Are you saying there was an official announcement and now "they" as in the LT are making us all wait to find out when? Because there hasn't been one. My partner works for a company that did that. Told everyone they would be restructuring over the 3-4 months. Every day was a game of roulette. As heartless and horrible as upcoming layoffs will be, a one day rip the bandaid off event is better than that anxiety. It was AWFUL.

They haven’t made an official announcement and they won’t.

@a4 I don’t think all senior leaders meeting in MSP is a coincidence.

The layoff speculation is rumors it wasn’t something that was announced. The people who were speculating already gave a date of October 28

Whether it’s intentional or not it certainly is cruel.
