I find it ironic that Cisco who’s known for layoffs has these sales leaders who are well off preaching about supporting the homeless when they directly contribute to the issue. Many people who get laid off have families and houses and losing their livelihoods can directly impact their ability to provide for their families and potentially lose their means of shelter. Look the mission is great but doing this at a company like Cisco feels tone deaf

They first steal your money, then appear to be philanthropists. Stealing is what they are doing. Acting like philanthropists is the required PR campaign to cover up.
Why is everyone on Linkedin a "proven leader" or has "93 yrs of managerial skills".
What do you do every day that actually contributes to society running smoothly?. Honest question.
Is your job essential? If the answer is no, expect changes.
didn't one guy try some idea where everyone donates a pair of socks with their entry into a concert - all (all being very loosely used) "proceeds" to apparently go to the homeless in Toronto. Think he tried to get Bryan Adams and Blue Rodeo to play and they said no. He still put it all over Linkedin
Fortunately they pick a day when the weather is still good. Get lot of pictures and post all over LinkedIn to show how much caring for a day.
Naive sheep you are. Cisco “leaders”, basically all of your coworkers and definitely ELT do not care about you or your family.
Im so sh-t of that sh-t. Good cause or not.. I should not be auto-opt'd into to all of their cr-p every single fu--ing year.
It’s a show.
Nothing more.
kind of repulsive that they Cosplay as "homeless" by sleeping outside for one night and then blanket LinkedIn with voluminous humblebrags (for days!)
gag.
their former direct reports are now sleeping under bridges 24/7/365
It's called living in the US.
Typical corporate virtue signaling.
It’s because they actually don’t GAF about homeless people, other groups, or causes. Just a bunch of virtue signaling for likes and promotions.
