Apparently leaders are being asked to stack rank their people in US (October 2025).
…Assuming this includes Canada too.

@zm pretty much all of them , so far the countries impacted / communicated: Ireland (125) , Italy ( 50) , Germany ( 250) , not sure about the rest but I am sure they will all get hit …
@zk which countries?
@z8 they haven't cut Europe yet, it's happening this and next month
Any intel on when the next round is going down? Suspect I will get hit during the next round based on my team's current workload and dynamics. I am ready to be done with the Hunger Games atmosphere that exists on my team. No advancement no raises no RSU this year.
@ec all gbus are going to get hit again. Employee count needs to be reduced by 10-15% according to the rumour mill. So there’s still a lot to go.
which org in Canada will be hit?

Oracle has always been quite talented at playing Scrooge.
"Any specifics on teams or locations impacted?"
Yes, there are limitations!
Only Oracle Employees are eligible for layoff, beyond that it is wide open!
The psychological fear these layoffs are creating among the staff is very high; they don't know when they will get laid off next, and motivation and productivity are down at Oracle among staff because I know what is happening inside. Also, the imbalance this creates fosters animosity and stress among the staff due to the increased workload.
They are not firing staff only on a declining product range, but some jobs that are cut are important roles that affect many lines of business. The local country entities are just cutting jobs for the sake of the U.S. corporate office asking to cut the headcount. Definitely, these decisions are going to affect business operations, and the negative results will stem from unsatisfied customers/staff."
Stack ranking happens every year and it’s gonna keep happening, layoffs or not.

@ag I think people are getting used to Ai for good or bad. Change is not always for the best.
@b5 Do you know the % affected this time and the potential layoff date?
Yes, this is happening. Name submitted.
Any specifics on teams or locations impacted?
@av Emea has to finish up first and then it’s round 2
Any intel on when D-Day will be? And headcount? Personally I have a bad feeling about my odds of surviving this round. Honestly part of me welcomes it. The environment is beyond toxic.
Anyone that thinks that talent inventory was really because Oracle cares about anyone's career is delusional. It is just another HR layoff strategy.
Someone I know was asked to stack rank their team last week.
@a6 When things break and can't be fixed customers will notice.
Trick or treat! 🎃
AI now is like a nice 98-year-old ailing storyteller – no matter what you ask him, he always finds a story and expands on it, adds something of his own, distorts something, but he speaks because that's the point, to keep talking. He'll speak because people believe him and don't check.
@a3 VP and GVPs, who might be reaching out to m4s and m5s for talent ranking
Santa is coming to town… 🎄
@OP Do you know at what level of management these decisions are being made?
