Was this actually anonymous like oxy said? I’ve heard mixed stories on whether these are actually anonymous or not.

Always found it funny at APC that the United Way employee contributions that were "optional and anonymous" yet the list of non contributors were always on the managers desk. Uncomfortable when your boss would come to your office and remind you about contributing... Anyone who believes they are firewalled from the company is naive. I may have to tell you the truth about Santa and the Easter Bunny next.
Be afraid of anyone that starts a sentence with "of course". Oxy is no different than it's fellow HR departments that use the same third party consultants. You are right about one thing ...Oxy differentiates itself as one of the worst performers in the peer group. Unfortunately, when the employee engagement surveys appear, your ship is sinking....
Of course it’s anonymous. I can tell many of you have not worked anywhere else. OXY is honest and straightforward. I’ve worked other places that couldn’t compare to OXY.
Secure my a**...At APC, this type of survey could drill into gender, demographics, education and ultimately regions/business units. Don't care if it's third party or not, they can find you.
They will let you know they are anonymous after you are fired for your answers.
It is anonymous, but to an extreme if you threaten to ki-l someone they can likely find you. Being honest and saying something is off will not get you in trouble, managers, directors, and even HR cannot access the raw data, all is managed by a 3rd party that will not disclose information that can single out a person. Don't live in fear and just be honest with the survey and what is not working, you always have to be respectful and should not be writting threatening messages, as long as you are reasonable you can write anything, and did exactly that, I never got in troubles, I never felt my boss even knew I wrote that, I never felt they affected anything on my side by being honest. If you want to live in fear there is nothing I can do to convince you, but it is anonymous and your boss, manager, and director will never know you wrote it.
It was done through a third party company yes they are anonymous.
If you are submitting from an Oxy connected computer then they could know with good certainty who you are. Why don’t you post it to lay-off.com. it’s anonymous unless they want to get a court order to force both lay-off.com and your ISP to unveil your identity.
Questions will be asked that will allow Oxy HR to know what part of the business you work in. Depending on how good the survey is I imagine they will know what team your are in. If you are real nervous, your IP address is probably still attached to your survey. Think about that when you slam your bosses.
Yes, it is anonymous for individuals. They will be able to analyze data by department or manager, but there is a requirement for a certain number of employees in the group. Too small a number and they don’t get the data for that department or manager.
Nothing is ever anonymous
They never are.
