Does anyone know if in New York State you can claim unemployment benefits ( if still unemployed) after your severance payments conclude?

I’m pretty sure once you severance months conclude you can start on unemployment. Ie if you got 6 months severance, month 7 you can begin unemployment. Years ago It used to be you could collect both but they changed that to start U/E once severance was complete
@OP I think Highmark gives you one lump sum in severance and you can collect unemployment starting day 1 in NYS.
