Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Anyone contacted by?

I was rif last year - no complaints about my package - about the only thing that went smooth (I talked to an hr contact based in the U.S. - they exist!)

Contacted out of the blue by a legal group regarding discrimination in i.t., but no clue how they got my information. Has anybody else been contacted?

Be careful and remember what is in your separation agreement. You may not be able to file anything if they have a no claims clause. If you do, you may have to pay back your severance pkg

This is common if you provided any information about a RIF on LinkedIn or other social media. They scrape the records and try to match to phone and email records. These scammers are very well funded and it seems that India just doesn't do much to keep them from doing the scam.

So OP is out of Pune? That’s crazy. How in the world could they get contact information from the Oune office in India. They have strict laws against scams and call center scam operations. You should report to the state agency in India that handles scam call centers trying to get your information.

Actually please post the lawfirm contact info here.

Allstate should be fine monitoring this board, like that monitor for labor organization keywords which is complete violation US labor law but then who cares right?

Please share this firms info if it really was legitimate and not scam like prior poster mentioned.

Seems legit, you should give them all your personal information as well as your banking info so they can deposit a big fat class action settlement! Stick it to the man!
