Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Disgusting

Certain employees are being laid off due to the location strategy in Florida. However, Summers, Gindi, Ta, Craven, and several other executives will be operating from West Palm Beach for tax advantages. This represents a clear double standard and is a significant affront to all of us who are facing job losses.

Imagine an entire new hub being built because one exec hired from JPM didn’t want to leave Columbus.

That decision caused at least one other site to be removed from being a core market for tech (STL). There were roughly 30 tech workers in Columbus at the time and hundreds in STL who are being laid off.

If you’re going to reference me in your post, please get my name right. It’s Sommers, not Summers

As I've been saying, every justification they use to downsize is a lie. They aren't opposed to WFH, they are opposed to YOU. They aren't opposed to people working outside of hubs. They are opposed to YOU. They aren't opposed to people working less than 8 hours on site, they are opposed to YOU. Starting to sense a pattern?
