What’s going to happen that day? Are they going to escort people out then and there or will people suddenly be called to a meeting and instantly canned? Will they tell them they have 3 weeks left of work before the canning? Will the contractors be canned on the spot?

All has been answered now, feedback on the process of being at home on Nov 13-14th? What do you do on those two days, just sit there by your laptop?
@a1 not answering the call! lol
@fv If we are to work from home, is it that day only? Is it the entire week? What work do you do while at home and on what equipment? I sold all my work from home equipment bcz I was tired of it taking up space in my house. So I will be punching away on my laptop only.
Any ideas when we will be told what that week looks like?
On Nov 10th it will be a dark dismal day with black storm clouds circling over the building in Houston.
This kind of cr-p su-ks. Gone are the days when your supervisor has to look you in the eyes and give you the bad news. And then you can respond with fu-k off a--hole and then tell them to pi-s off. You still will go find your nearest liq-or store and get sh-t faced. An action item to prepare for layoffs is to stock on alcohol and prepare mentally how to handle it. I would recommend top shelf 15 yr scotch and put on some old music or movies on and just chill for a while realizing that your boss or former boss is having a terrible time with this too.
Then tomorrow deal with it. That life.
It’ll probably go about as well as Downtown Portland went after the Lord Floyd O.D.
I can assure you …. Nobody is going to say that you’re laid off AND you can continue working for 3 weeks . You will no longer be an employee or contractor about 10 seconds before the call even happens
Working from home that day. Too many rooftop snipers these days.
You will probably be told to work from home. If you are laid off, you will get a Teams call.
