Scharf is an id--t. What a puff piece. He completely lacks leadership quality. Wells has 40% less employees in California since Scharf took over. A once dominant commercial bank with great relationships, Scharf would rather be the 25th best investment bank in NYC versus the best Bank in the surgjng Weat or Country. He is juicing the stock witb layoffs and fees to Wells Fargo customers.
Ten years ago I would have thought this was pretty cool. Now I am a 25+ year employee hoping I get that Tuesday morning after payday meeting invite!
A depiction so completely incongruent with the reality, it is clear some sort of quid pro quo was involved.
What a load of cr-p. Scharf is nothing but someone who can make mass layoffs business as usual. Some of the stock market may feign to like him, rest assured most employees at Wells do not.
This is so good. Love seeing wells get painted in such a positive light. However once Scharf is done, the next CEO will come with a new branch of cronies and this narrative will be erased with a new one that will say this current batch all su-ks.
article was so great it is now up on Teamworks.
I wonder how much the company had to pay for that steaming pile. No mention of the epic fail of Bilt? Smart of him to keep it vague when it comes to the "goals" for his OC, which we all know was just cutting FTEs.
