To produce to the full capacity I’m capable of with all the noise going on here. Why doesn’t management recognize that the environment they have created is toxic? I hate getting up in the morning to come here and that was never the case.

This is instruction from our beloved president Trump to all companies. Economy grows right. See the news from Ford.
The free coffee’s pretty good
That’s what she said.
Sorry. Not sorry.
If trimming bodies is their main objective then just do it already. Can’t have your cake and eat it. If you have to pay severance then so be it. Can’t be as bad as the bloated salaries these empty suits are making here.
@bg same exact experience today. The funny part is, I actually would like to collaborate. I don’t know a single person in my office since my work hasn’t overlapped with anyone there. We are not given the resources we need to effectively do what we’ve been tasked to do. So I only have a small amount of work on my plate. Because that’s all the output we can provide. The rest of the time is spent staring at the wall counting down to quitting time.
I completely get that attrition is the point. It’s just sad when you could find ways to actually use the talent you have to actually create things that contribute to success.
Same, the constant headcount cuts due to efficiency has taken a toll. Even as we make huge quarterly profits, we keep saying we can't afford to employ people. In my group we've cut essential services we provide to clients as we adjust our scope to the new staffing levels. We still feel overworked with the crew that's left behind . It's demoralizing.
Today was the worst day I had since I started working here. People are miserable. There are no seats. You just have random people scowling at you as they walk up and down the aisles. The volume has gone up and people are openly saying how much they hate it here. By 3 most people had left and then I was sitting in a ghost town counting down the minutes until I could swipe out. Someone should write this up as a psychological experiment. I don’t think I can do this much longer and it’s only been two weeks since they dropped the hammer. But I need health care so I can’t quit. Next thing you know they will start messing around with the temperature in buildings to get is to hate it even more so we quit. It’s just a test of endurance at this point.
I've been in roles where being in office brings value, and I went to the office. In my current role it has negative value. There's absolutely no upside. It's painfully obvious that the executives only care about pushing voluntary attrition and the torment is completely intentional. Everything they say and do is designed to further that objective. They desperately want to get rid of you as well, and will do so at the first opportunity. On the plus side, as you are herded out the door with your cardboard box full of office junk, you can whimper "but I supported their plans..." Won't that be lovely.
@av I have a great a$$
You must be a delight in public settings if an office environment makes you cry like a baby on internet message boards. Seek counseling or become a monk if you cant cut it in the real world like a normal person.
Uh, they are aware it's toxic. That's the point. They want people to quit.
Hoping this is temporary. And that the executives all take their bonuses for the asset cap removal and consent orders and leave fairly soon.
Sorry to tell you this but they don't care the more miserable you are and the more people hit the door or get laid off the more the greedy b@$tards get to pu in their pockets for their lavish vacations and criminal off the record activities
