Everett Cash team gutted

Hello,

I was recently let go last week and 80% of our team was as well. Everett for years has been the step child to boston but when speaking with my manager at the time of my layoff , the hiring in Florida is going to go full steam ahead in 2026. Majority of the jobs in everett will eventually get replaced with florida hires and by the time we were set to go boston it will be a shell of its former self. I also just like many of you on this website didnt get full severance. I was capped at 12 weeks due to missing my mandatory (54 hours of training) what a lovely place to work. Im thankful I have interviews set up already working with a recruiter but I wish I left sooner.

I would reach out to the person suing BNY for unpaid severance and get with him and form a class action lawsuit.

The grass is greener on the other side!! Trust me.

Trust me as someone who worked on the EVT CT…true blessing in disguise…

My advice for the future, don’t be complacent. Work up and get promoted. Don’t get promoted and don’t make that money, leave!!! You can only make money in corporate moving job to job usually…do so until you find a good place, one that actually rewards you and treats you well!

I never heard about the Everett cash team…what line of business. I hear 2026 will be more moves to Lake Mary. Too many NJ folks moved to NY been told 50% of those jobs have to be in FL by Q4

@ft the one hour a week training you are required to do on your own. After you have put in 50-60 hours of work already. And make sure it's AI related training to tick both of their boxes off.

@fx I think I've had 54 hours of P-M-related training in the past two weeks.... Does this count?!

@ft not mandatory trainings. There is an agreement you check at mid year thats very small and it basically asks you to take 54 hours of supplemental training on your own outside of the BK learning assigned ones.

What is this training people keep missing? BK learning sends you multiple emails and your manager gets notified if you’re in danger of missing a deadline. Are we talking about the same thing?

I heard rumors that Wilm FA will be moving too. Pitts I think. I know I won’t be going. This place would make me move, train them all, then have no issues letting me go after I uprooted my life.

Did you do any of the mandatory extra training? I do it but most weeks I forget. So I’ll do extra hours when I remember.

First off, a huge congratulations to you! I want to take a moment to express how thankful and happy I am for you. Leaving can be a difficult decision, but I truly believe you are better off without the constant stress and aggravation that came with dealing with daily ineptitude and the never-ending game of musical chairs and strategic alignment.

For the US work moving from Everett to Florida, it is highly likely these tasks will be performed by new college graduates and those with little to no work experience. If the work cannot be managed by the teams in Pune or Wroclaw, we can expect more lower cost, lower-tiered functions to be relocated to Lake Mary. There's no guesswork involved here - it's pretty clear-cut and cost-driven.

Once again, congratulations, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. May this new chapter bring you the success and peace you deserve.
