Headcount going to India in my organization

I have seen Headcount projections for my managers team of 103 people. Currently, 78 in the US and 25 in India. Future Headcount projection is 25im the US and 75 in India. I could not see a timeline for these projections. Our organization has almost 600 people. I can't see the projections for the other teams. I am not sure if it will affect the larger team, but my guess is it will.

Agree with @x8. In below video, He explains it better for the unauthorized immigrants, but smilar facts apply for H1B and other immigrants too. If we demonize them and stop those legal channels, then the companies will shut their offices in US and open overseas. Our farms become nonproductive and we would have to then import food and put our best farmers of the world out of business. D-mb is, d-mb does!

That is part of the unintended consequences. US wins with open trade and least number of barriers. It benefits the us all when we take in most of the immigrants. We are a nation built on that and that is our strength. When we shut that primary pipeline of growth, under the disguise of safety, we now lose both. As @c8 and @0p pointed out, It is easier now for corporations to move all jobs overseas, than bring in a few expert immigrants to create many jobs for uslocally.
In a way, that applies to our farms as well as the high tech industry.
When we belive our false prophets and politicians, that benifit from dividing us, we all pay a price. We need to think twice before throwing the baby with the bath water

It is easier for a company to increase headcount over there, no need to deal with the H-1B uncertainties, there's a large talent pool, and it's cheaper. Plus they already have a big site there with all the needed infra, so it's kind of a no-brainer for them logistically and from a business POV.
