Does anyone know what they’re prioritizing in the layoffs?

Does anyone know if they’re doing it based on seniority, highest pay, department, etc?

Anyone know if some departments/entities are gonna be hit more than others?

I work in finance, so I don't know the HR things, but from what I know and have been told/and seen they are rebuilding ALL the budgets from "bottom up".

'They' (the new management) are reviewing every line item and requiring justification for it. I have heard through the channels that they are willing to lay off senior and 'overpaid' junior staff, so they can rehire them at lower titles and salaries in the correct locations. Which, if we are honest, sort of makes sense. When they say over paid junior, I think they mean people who have been here a long time.

Without giving out the details of what areas I work with, I have been told that they are very much looking at marketing, research, ad sales and corporate.

Personally, it feels like the old corp teams will not exist after the layoffs. Clearly, some roles will be move but SD peeps have their own people in mind. I've heard that marketing across the company is being cleared out. Which again seems to include junior and senior roles. I've heard that research is being changed in CBS and MTVE, cause of illness, so that's GC's world but not heard about streaming and international yet. Ad sales is being 'reviewed'. Someone I know in HR said ad sales were being pressured as they aren't delivering around the world. Not sure what that really means but just thought I would say.

What I will say for a fact is that, having been at the company for 11 years, I've never seen this sort of lack of info. Like I get the info I need to do my job, but names and titles are removed. Sometimes I'm just given the $$ amount.

As it stands I would be very concerned where ever I work in the company. Yes, the US first but it seems international will be hit hard too!

i heard what last poster said budget target number again at discretion of EVP SVP chiefs .. lists this week . date is 10/28 .. RTO JAN- certain - expect to be assigned LA NY area office even if you don't think there is office space
