Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Thanksgiving is around the corner FINALLY!

FBS is over with now, so it'll get busy up until the week before TG holiday, then I use 3-4 weeks (or whatever is left, which is usually about 4 weeks) of PTO and take every Monday and Friday off the rest of the year.

My medical exmption RTO ends in November so, 3 days in for 2 hours each, then 1 day in the rest of the year after TG!

YAAAAS QUEEN, SLAY!

@a9 It's absolutely not up to your manager in any way shape or form. It's 100% up to your orgs VP and/or C level exec as to what they expect/want. Our manager told us they dgaf if we go in or not unless they get word from "above" that we need to.

Well, they got word that we do. Luckily it's not 5 days but more like 3 days/week. They initially made it sound like it was up to the managers discretion but that was a crock of sh-t.

Ultimately, it's different from org to org. Some orgs are allowed to go in far less than others but it's definitely not up to your manager.

@a9 I missed 1 day last month and my boss had to explain it to his boss. So it seems the rule is not the same depending on which director you work under.

@ax not true. We have plenty of folks here in ISG Hopkinton not showing up 5 days a week, heck, some don't show up at all. Oh, some are h1b also. All are still here and have survived many layoffs. I guess they're deemed essential so they get overlooked.

Nope! 2-3 days! What are you smoking? Almost everyone needs to be there for 5 days a week. Otherwise be ready to be in line for next cut!

You realize the policy clearly states it is up to your manager? We have been 2-3 days since March with no issue, including exec staff.
