If I was worried about losing my job. I would make sure I was doing what I was supposed to be doing, and where I am supposed to be. If you leave the building and don’t clock out or lie about it that’s time card fraud. You will be put on a PIP and volunteering yourself if there is a next layoff. Also, time fraud will get you the boot so fast you won’t know what hit you. So, if you’re super worried about your job I would do your job.

How can you leave the building without using your badge to exit?
@gq you sound like the annoying person we have in the group always has his nose in everyone’s business and always has something to say and loves to step on ppl toes to make it seem like he is the best in the business
@hq That is quite the statement. For one you can see who's on watching lines and etc if you look. There are some upper management checking in on their days off, watching the line. There are upper management that miss many hours with their families because the whole fab is hanging on their shoulders. Middle management is let go as well, and was in the first round due to their sections performance, is that not a lot of stress and responsibilities? Then no management I know has ever told people to come in and work for free? If that's the case you need to go to the proper channels. Regardless you have to follow the policies and if you don't you cannot expect anything less than being held accountable. Its sad to see people go but the poster is or was just saying do the right thing . So, they don't find a reason to PIP you.
@OP Management wants to have it both ways. I've seen no exempt called in off hours to take care of a quick thing off hours then go home (sometimes remote) . The officially policy is that TI is supposed to pay a tech an hour if they call them in. However the managers start screaming, " DO NOT REDEEEM! DO NOT REDEEM! WHY ARE YOU REDEEMING?!" Management is constantly asking for free work but does not want to pay for the extra work. It's worse for non exempt workers as they threaten PIP'S etc. H1B's honestly have it the worst in this regard as management will threaten deportation if they do not work extra unpaid hours. Looking at the share price performance recently this behavior isn't even helping investors.
What makes you guys think HR and management are not watching this page lol and this is their business. That would be so naive to think otherwise.
I think the original poster is on a PIP.
;-)
Ppl like this are annoying why don’t you stay out of others business and just worry about yourself. Folks like this do not belong in this industry they belong flipping burgers then they can cry all they want. And what site are you even in to be so concerned
@OP, I‘m just curious - if you aren’t worried about losing your job, what made you land on a page about layoffs and job loss?
Also, if you believe someone is messing with their time-card, why bring it up here instead of going through proper channels (HR, compliance, etc.) instead of just calling everyone a crook?
@OP is this a worry for non exempts or are exempts required to badge out rather than coffee badging? Asking not in TX.
