Has anyone been able to find one intelligent person in Asset Servicing? They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel with that whole bunch.

True, but I would say it's half idiocy and half understaffing.
@e5 Yet we're making more and more money and the stock keeps going up!
What part of BNY is not a cluster F now? This is how the company is run now. It’s getting worse by the day with no end in sight.
Indian so much smarter than you!
I have found that a lot of positions were moved overseas and the overseas team that I work with, specifically our Indian provisioning Team, has no idea what they are doing. They are only trained to push buttons, not actually think and it creates giant messes for our clients and those very few left who know what they are doing.
Its not about service its about stock price. When you send perm jobs to India and back fill with temp.workers you lose knowledge and experience. Workers that are left in US, bc India doesnt participate in training, are left to participate in training new temp employees every 6 month. Knowledge leaves but stock is up.
Which line of business at this bank can you applaud? With intelligent workers, wise leadership?
I work in asset servicing, and I have the same experience but not with my team. It’s with all the other teams that support us. They broke off all the teams into smaller groups that are supposed to specialize in one task and still have no idea what they are doing. It was much better back in the day when everyone did a little bit of everything. Now it’s a: it’s not my job! attitude.
What do you expect when you have demoted CFO leading asset services
They’ve been plagued by poor and toxic leadership for years. Product in particular with the exception of a few people have less knowledge than what you’d expect while a lot of front office folks look down on a lot of teams and can’t be bothered to get involved with certain client issues. Don’t get me started on the disaster that has been digital.
