It has been said time and time again that Return to Office is not mandated. Yet leadership has mentioned that there will be people walking around auditing who is present. Has Cisco gone full on micro managing?

it would be impossible to bring everyone back d-mb d-mb. they sold off half their buildings
I refuse to go in, the environment is counterproductive to getting anything done.
If Cisco has a problem with that hand me a package and I'll be happily on my way.
RTO is still not a company mandate. It's either specific to your function (your Mgr/Dir/VP) and/or it's WPR checking space utilization b/c Cisco is trying to determine which buildings to sell. Very likely the latter b/c Cisco is still actively reducing real-estate holdings in some cities.
Cisco has software to track people via Webex and cameras. Plus building access badge readers have all check-in details. Cisco monitors what people are doing during office hours.
Cisco removed the cubes and offices and instead provide open space with workstations with phones and monitors. Can one do any work in such environments is anyone guess.
It depends on the org you work for. No one in Sales is expected in the office.
I think those not coming or spending 7-8 hours daily in office are selected for next layoffs.
its been done in richardson when they made the disastrous decision of closing a building. so they sent a lady to check who comes in when and how long sit at their desk. it was annoying then and its goong to be annoying now. petty cisco
Prepare your buttcheeks!!
I'll give any hall monitors the mid finger.
why would they have a person walking around taking attendance when they can just track badge activity?
