Any thoughts on what was shared in today’s town hall with RFAB, DM6, SMFAB, LFAB? In a meeting last week, supposedly Yunus said there were no plans for further headcount actions. But please still voluntarily go burn all your TBK in Q4 so you’re cheaper to fire. Seemed to allude that Q3 numbers aren’t terrible, but they are worried about Q4.

@b3 As a previous MFG, yes. We had mandatory idles and could either take SAD or TBK. Given we have bills to pay...
They (management) will always say that there aren’t any plans for further headcount reductions. It’s what they said after the last layoff, the current layoff, and what they’ll say after the next layoff. At this point if you buy into that statement that’s on you, they are just doing what’s in their nature. Read ‘the scorpion and the frog’ fable, perfectly aligns with their ‘no more reductions planned’ refrain.
I’d be interested to know why investor relations are attending a town hall for internal employees.
@b3 they said that there won't be mandatory timebank required over the holidays. But they said they encourage employees to take time off to rest and recharge... along those lines.
Did you all not notice he said, there are no plans for further reductions "right now." As in right now. 3 months from now, that's not "right now."
@OP were fab people really told to burn PTO? Encouraged or a mandate?
Yunus wouldn't know the difference between silicon and silicon if it bit him in the b##t let alone an isotropic etch versus an anisotropic etch.
So there wont be any lay off in december? I am confused as he-l!
They've got really concrete plans to improve morale apparently...
I would hold on to your timebank.
“People actions”
Mike Beckman is head of Investor Relations btw. Dunlap is head of 300mm fab operations
