This is how OCI is treating this RIF, like nothing ever done at Oracle before. OCI HR has taken over the company and is running the show. Oracle proper is no longer the entity in charge. A call to RIF you can happen at anytime.
@OP I was laid off this morning. I am, or was, in NA Deal Desk. Though they’ve changed the name of that from Deal Management, to contract specialist, and the list goes on. Been here over a decade and the absolute cold call I got this morning to inform me was heartbreaking. My own manager didn’t even know. Within MINUTES I had zero access to systems or even my laptop. I couldn’t even say bye to my team. Absolutely cold hearted. And this is after they have been rolling more roles into one single role, while cutting teams and people, no pay raises, etc. Awful way to show appreciation for long-term employees who have families to care for
