@10a Found one of the $50k bonus/year hacks.
May need to cut positions. Reports that cuts were to those over 50 years old and those who had question policy. History of this behavior at the college.
Some misinformation here:
None were done through email. Each person had an in person or Zoom 1:1 with their manager and received a severance package, extended healthcare coverage, and career services to help with the transition. I'm not saying I agree with their plan, but to post incorrect, inflammatory data is just wrong. Whoever posted this should correct the misinformation.
Confirmed that many of the people who were laid off had ongoing issues with upper management on file with HR. One person laid off was 12 days away from their due date. They shut everyone’s computers down immediately, did not give anyone the chance to recover files or do anything to make the transition easier for their affected teams. Most people on the list are over 50. It was poorly handled to say the least.

@qm Jim has allowed himself to get played by his advisers. They keep him in a bubble while they abuse and scapegoat their staff. Also, the students call him AI because they never see him.
That place is toxic af. The leadership and upper management is clueless. Absolute worst place I ever worked at. Too bad, the kids and staff are wonderful.
