Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Appalachian

The Appalachian area isn't going to the common operating model like the rest of operations. We were told today, we are never changing. The current model saved jobs is what the rumor is.

Has anyone else heard this outside of Appalachian?

@ea, I am willing to wager $37,530,699,754,301 that the T-Mobile Code of Business Conduct DOES NOT state that employees should go to ”thelayoff.com to be heard”.

”The subset are the ones in your market that you have silenced. We are afraid to say anything so we come here to be heard. We worked with several of you leaders for years and know how you operate. Your messaging and communication is horrible and when someone speaks up you do paperwork.”

@ea
You have to be talking about Nashville or Columbus.

I believe most people are ok with the model. I didn't say Love it but OK with it. The Issue I see is the bad communication since day one. Some of these managers should get some remedial training on how to motivate a team during change and definitely need some training on how to treat people.

The constant complaining from a small subset of Appalachia employees is getting old. If half as much energy went into working as goes into criticizing the model, you’d be ahead of the curve with time to spare. If you truly don’t like the direction things are headed, no one is forcing you to stay — there are plenty of others ready to step up. It’s frustrating to watch contractors outpace some of our own. At this point, it’s simple: either contribute and move forward, or step aside.

Rumor is CRT position with be taken over by AI, you don't need 13 people in Appalachian to create tickets. This is a waste of manpower. The NOC already does ticket assignments. There is only 19 field techs in the area, make it make sense. You can't!! Techs have close to 200 sites per, people are needed in the field. Once work flow management is 100% operational field techs will be outsourced. All speculation but just watch the leaders that have been put in place. 2026 will be interesting.

The Appalachian area model is worse than a 1 egg pudding. They brag about the cost per site but what the data doesn't show is the 200 plus tickets per market that isn't being addressed. Ticking time bo-b for the customers availability, the so called minor issues on the tower aren't being addressed. They will eventually turn into big issues.
Please don't believe all the data, it's manipulated to match the agenda.
None of the technicians in the area likes it except the people in the CRT position.

We are moving to the Uncommon Area Model in the South. All switch technicals will be swapped with RF technicians. All Android users will be giving iPhones. All iOS users will be given a Revvl. Thank you.
