Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Chevron compression

Does anyone know the pay scale for Chevron compressor mechanics? I’m currently at XOM and make a little less than $75 an hour, but I was wanting to know how that compared to Chevron.

OP I have seen quite a few mechanic trucks at Chevron’s office is why I thought to ask. Thanks for the insight. XOM is not too bad to work for, but I heard Chevron made more so I figured I would ask.

Chevron mechanics do some routine compressor maintenance, but they spend most of their time doing PMs on pumps and such. They do own some compression, mostly in the Delaware Basin and lean on company mechanics for that work, but a lot of the compression is 3rd party, serviced by 3rd party contractors. Pay is not terrific. It was in the $50's last time I heard anything (granted that was a few years ago). Wouldn't recommend leaving $75/hr at another major to deal with the same BS, for probably less pay
