HUMC to potentially buy out Optum in NJ!!! Has anyone else heard this??? New leadership has been a mess they have no idea what they’re doing! It’s ridiculous and straight up embarrassing that this is what Optum has become!!! What a failure!

@OP Likely. Yes, we want to be a Payvider to justify keeping UHC as core. Heaven forbid we follow Candyman Poll and do healthcare solutions win no matter what Payer/Provider landscape and in different countries.
But we need to cut to preserve immediate IOI vs long term goals - even if it's shedding Providers.
Be prepared for more divestitures like this, especially in Blue states. We're exiting footprint in California and new hires will be required to be within 50mi of an office an excuse not to hire in CA.
NJ is probably close to unionizing like their provider brethren in NY just north of NYC. Would LOVE to see Unions across UHG! That's the only check against corporate greed until Trump makes them illegal. There's a reason the pill packinghouses are in deep Red areas.
@OP I heard the same thing. Couple weeks ago. It’s been an emotional roller coaster. My anxiety has me all over the place. Couple months before the holidays. Layoffs are also in rumor in the next couple of weeks.
