Heard there were some layoffs today? Does anyone know how many or which teams got affected?

Sadly some from earlier RIFs transferred44 an hour away with remote agreements. Now they cannot manage with the extra commute.
I've heard from some folks that they are being asked by their PL to RTO 5 days a week. I'm curious if this is a way to force people to quit instead of having to layoff people.
There were 150ish layoffs in US pre-Labor Day .... no annoucements, just early retirements and elimination of positions. Unfortunately more will be coming after Q3 earnings bo-b. Tariffs are settling in, China sales languishing (hence discussion of selling that unit), backlog is not shippable, and NPI engine isn't working. Expect to see zone positions trimmed as they are non revenue generating/high pay/low value.
