I read this like the song in my head. Brilliant!
Giving it all to them, and in the end when you are broken, they get rid of your pension, say you are resilient and lay you off. As you sit at home contemplating retirement, you realize the unnecessary stress they put you through and all that you missed because you gave it all believing they would give back in the end.
