It was confirned yo us on an AMER team meeting that Cairo office to be shut, severance to be paid to 180+ employees, plus potential option to move to capgemini... Just like that eh wow.

Is that our headcount in Egypt? Or are there more sites other than Cairo? It sounds kinda low, considering it's a country with cheap labour.
A lot of product support will be affected. Coming weeks going to be tough for other geo's pawn to absorb the workload.
Unfortunately, Cairo people will help with the stock buy backs and pay for the dividend. That is all the matters now. The addition to the SP500 has everything to do with seriousness of making both happen as planned. No employee is more important than those 2 events.

Well, I kinda call it Karma because they pushed me and my manager in EMEA out.
We are both in the company in different roles but they played a dirty game.
Quite a few support people in Cairo.
What type of jobs were in that Cairo office? I remember a while back we had PMs at that location but that is all I can think of.
