Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I have completely checked out

I swipe in, do exactly what’s needed, and leave. Used to stay late, used to hustle, but not anymore. Every month the bare minimum gets a little lower because the company’s shown me they couldn't care less about us.

I installed a sleep tube in my cube so I can work around the clock.

Just march around the office chanting: “Do as they say….get your pay!”
“Do as they say….get your pay!”
“Do as they say….get your pay!”

Keep a countdown clock on your phone face that has days until I leave.

You never stayed late or hustled. Just saying that for dramatic effects.

Whenever I think of doing something extra, I’m reminded of Stank’s quotes:

I don’t want your stinkin’ loyalty.
I don’t want old people.

And then I think of the stup1d HR woman who gleefully signed off on removing flexible work hours and authorized spying and surveillance activities. Then laffed about it all.

"It is the Culture Stanks created. What a genius!"

Yep -- Stankey wanted a Market Based Culture and now he got it. The problem is that in his culture the goals of Stankey are no longer aligned with the goals of the employee because of how he applied the culture. Too bad, so sad. 8 & Skate, it can wait!

I believe a lot of people have checked out. The level of enthusiasm I see in the office is at an all-time low.
When I first started there was a true passion about working here. We even collaborated in the office.
Today, it’s a walking morgue around here. Nobody is happy with leadership and could it possibly be that current leadership is terrible? Of course, nobody wants to answer that publicly because the backlash isn’t worth it. So people do their job with the least amount of enthusiasm and go home right after 8 hours.
Very sad to see how far the company has fallen.
I’ll end with this- we are behind VZ and T-Mobile and no amount of bs talking is going to change that. We need a major correction in this company.

“Used to stay late, used to hustle, but not anymore.”
When was this? 20+ years as rs ago? With this attitude, you haven’t done more than bare minimum in decades.
